HISTORY
Gazi Metal, having its roots in 1927, has managed to be the brand of quality, innovation and sustainability over the years.
1927 – Family elders started importing iron and steel in Kayseri and Mersin. They started to do business with their imported materials in the domestic market.
1967 – Galvanized Sheet production started with the forming of Demir Sac Galvaniz Tic. San. A.Ş. Çayırova/Gebze. Turkey’s first galvanization line in the private sector was founded.
1987 – Gazi Metal Products Industry and Trade Ltd. Company started steel trade in Karaköy/Istanbul.
1998 – By partnering with Dutch company Ferco BV, steel service center was founded under the name of Ferga Metal Industry and Trade Inc.
2001 – Ferco BV transferred its shares to the Turkish partners.
2004 – Gazi Metal Products Inc. reached its current company structure. Research about cold rolling facilities project started.
2008 – Decision was made for the establishment of cold rolling facilities that would produce cold rolled sheet. Research for location and engineering works started.
2009 – Karasu/Sakarya Organized Industry Area was chosen as the cold rolling facility location.
2011 – An agreement for technology and whole facility buying was made with the German company SMS.
2013 – Building up process started in Karasu.
2014 – Karasu facilities started production as the 5th biggest cold rolling facility in Turkey. The first roll was produced on August 13th, 2014.
2015 – Trial productions and quality works was completed.
2016 – Production started.
2018 - Turkey's second in exports.
